Thank You Wal-Mart Grocery Pickup
I could extol the virtues of Amazon Prime and two day shipping and the movies we watch but it doesn’t hold a candle to the wonder that is Wal-Mart grocery pickup. It rolled out in our area sometime after Oliver was born; he might have been close to two. I’d been doing fine shopping with two kids if, and only if, I could get the shopping cart that holds two kids. I don’t mean the stupid car or truck cart. Our local grocery store had one or two of those but they had no seat belts and my then two year old would randomly jump out and wreak havoc. I’m talking about the new carts that have two plastic seats facing forward with belts and harnesses. They helped.
Along came free grocery pickup. Suddenly, I no longer had to bring children into a store! I didn’t even have to unbuckle their car seats! I simply placed my order and at the appointed time, showed up! A friendly associate would bring my stuff out to my car and load it in for me! I usually get out to help because, guilt. But they don’t even require it!
I must brag on my local store, Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Alamance Church Road. They are always friendly, professional and eager to help. They get my order right and I’ve never had a problem with them. Substitutions are fair and understandable.
Tired moms everywhere thank you, Wal-Mart grocery pickup. Now, to stay competitive, we need Wal-Mart grocery baby feeding or Wal-Mart grocery diaper changing. Maybe Wal-Mart grocery potty training! Write this down, Wal-Mart.
